Spring Events from the REC
Get in the summertime spirit with a pirate themed indoor pool party at the REC on Thursday, April 11th from 10:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. Summer Splash will feature a live DJ, inflatables, and raffle prizes. Both swimming pools will be open with a Walk the Plank splash contest and Aqua Zumba in Cooper Pool. There will be free food and giveaways for everyone who attends!
Sexual Assault Awareness Month 5K and Dog Walk
Show your support for Sexual Assault Awareness Month and get moving in the SAAM 5K & Dog Walk on Saturday, April 20th. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m., the race starts at 10:00 a.m., and the dog walks commences at 10:15 a.m. The cost to participate is $10 for students and $15 for non-students. This event is a fundraiser to benefit the SAAFE center in Wood County. They provide crisis intervention, emotional support, medical and legal advocacy, support groups, information, and referrals for victims of sexual assault, stalking, sexual harassment, and sex trafficking. To help maintain these services come and participate in the SAAM 5K & Dog Walk! Registration is available at the Student Recreation Center front desk or online.
