Division of Student Affairs
GAPD Funding
Applications for GAPD Funding are Available
The conference season is upon us, and if you’re a graduate assistant in Student Affairs, you may be wondering about financial support from the division. The division is eager to support your conference and professional development activities. This may include, but is not limited to, conference travel, workshop registration, association membership fees, etc. Funds are available on a first-come, first served basis. Master’s and doctoral-level graduate assistants under current contract within the Division of Student Affairs are eligible to apply, regardless of academic program.
To be considered for this funding:
- Candidates must currently be working as a graduate assistant in the Division of Student Affairs;
- Candidates must be considered in good academic standing within their respective academic program;
- Candidates must complete and submit the brief application attached, which asks for a description of what the applicant hopes to gain from the professional development experience, both personally and professionally; and
- Candidates must identify how they will share information obtained from the staff development activity with Division/departmental colleagues.
Applicants may request up to $200. Applications will be based upon adherence to the criteria stated above. Once an individual has received funding, he or she is not eligible to re-apply during the same fiscal year. After the fund has been exhausted, graduate assistants will be notified that funding is no longer available. Click here to view the application.
