Reserving Event and Meeting Space for the 2010 – 2011 Academic Year

Tuesday, November 17 at 9am in Room 316 of the Bowen-Thompson Student Union: Meeting for Departments

The Bowen-Thompson Student Union staff will soon begin accepting requests for space reservations in the Student Union and Olscamp 101 for the 2010-11 academic year. The meeting for departments will be Tuesday, November 17 at 9am in Room 316 of the Student Union. 

There will be space request forms at the meeting for representatives. Forms may also be picked up in 231 Bowen-Thompson Student Union or printed from the Student Union website.  The completed forms may then be brought to the meeting, or turned into the Student Union/Event Planning office.  Please do not turn in requests prior to the appropriate meeting. Craft Break!

Monday, November 16 at 5:30pm at the Contact Tables in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union

Have something stressing you out? Take a Craft Break! Join us in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union at the contact tables in the main entrance on Monday, November 16 for some fun and free crafts! We will use mosaic tiles to create drink coasters, picture frames, and name plates. Crafts will begin at 5:30pm and continue until 8pm (or while supplies last). Bring a friend and have a stress-free night! Sponsored by the Bowen-Thompson Student Union.

How 2- Gourmet Caramel Apples

Monday, November 16 from 8-9pm at the Bowling Greenery

Chocolate, sprinkles, and cookies... OH MY! Are you tired of the same old boring caramel apples? Join the Bowen-Thompson Student Union as we satisfy your sweet tooth with our gourmet caramel apple workshop.  On Monday, November 16 from 8-9pm in The Bowling Greenery you can create your own apple, with the works of course, for just $3! There are only 30 apples available so be sure to reserve your spot at the Information Center starting Monday, November 9.  This one's sure to be a hit!

Wednesdays in the Pub: Last Comic Standing (Finals)!

Is the weight of the semester holding you down? Do you feel like the stress of school and work will never end? Well, come join the Bowen-Thompson Student Union for some comical laughs as we sponsor “Last Comic Standing!” Wednesdays in the Pub goes hilarious for the final round and you’re invited to share some great laughs. With three finalists eager to knock your socks off, get ready for some belly shaking, knee jerking, teary-eyed laughs! There are sure to be tons of great laughs but only one winner! YOU be the judge! Beer Tasting

If you are interested in joining us for the third beer tasting event of the semester, you will be excited to know that the theme is "Beers from Around the World!" Mike Coomes will give one of his many informed talks about the make-up and process of producing beer and how to rate the flavor! The event will take place on Thursday, November 19 at 5:30 pm at the Black Swamp Pub and the price for this event is $10.
