Distinguished Professor Dr. Neal Schmitt from Michigan State University will discuss ways of addressing the financial challenges academic administration is currently facing.
Academic institutions have experienced diminished state support and other financial challenges for years. The need to generate resources with constrained budgets has made academic administration increasingly difficult. This talk will discuss the relevance of basic Industrial/Organizational Psychology and Human Resource practices in coping with these and other challenges. The discussion will focus on communication, strategic planning, entrepreneurship, faculty recruitment and retention, faculty and program evaluation, and responses to technological change.
