Salads by Design wins Award

Ordering a salad at Commons Marketplace’s Salads by Design gives a patron the choice between favorite toppings, lettuce, dressing, and extras. Salads by Design, located inside Commons Marketplace, is a new concept in fresh salads. Choose your salad base then select from five original salad recipes. Patrons watch as their selections are gently tossed with one of four signature dressings. Adding a wedge of fresh baked multi-grain bread makes for a healthy meal one will not soon forget.

The National Association of College and University Food Service (NACUFS) awarded BGSU's Commons Marketplace Salads by Design the 2009 “Best in the Business” Campus C-Store Award for excellence in the Foodservice Application category.  

As an award recipient Salads by Design will receive a commemorative plaque recognizing this achievement, and a complimentary registration to the 2009 NACUFS Neighborhood Market Retail Workshop pre-conference event. The NACUFS awards ceremony is on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
