The Information Technology Committee offers Tech Trends Grants for BGSU faculty, staff, and student organizations wanting to hold an information technology-related event with the purpose of raising awareness of contemporary and historical issues in information technology.  The up to $1000 grant helps with costs such as honoraria, room rentals, materials, travel, lodging, and promotion.  The award takes into consideration the availability of matching funds as well as other resources.  The ability to draw a large audience and the benefit to the university community also factors in to the amount awarded.  Special circumstances may even be considered for grants in excess of $1000.
