Student Affairs SPOTLIGHT
Congratulations to Tim Carney, Residence Life, for his recent statewide soccer award. Tim is the head boys’ soccer coach at Napoleon High School and was recently selected for the Ron Pinsenschaum Award from the Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association. The Ron Pinsenschaum Award is presented annually to an OSSCA member who best represents the standards of sportsmanship, character, and integrity. The award is considered the highest honor presented by the association. Carney said he was overwhelmed by the honor. “(I’m) humbled, honestly,” he said. “It’s a really nice award. It’s an award that goes to one coach in the whole state, so it’s a pretty nice honor.”
During his eight years as the Wildcats’ coach, Tim has a career record of 98-39-16. Over the last two seasons, Napoleon has won 34 games and was the 2007 division 1 state runner-up. Please congratulate Tim on his award and for leading his group of young men with character, honor, and integrity.
