October is National Careers in Student Affairs Month and the Division of Student Affairs has put together a few events to introduce undergraduate students to the field of student affairs -- and to encourage and support those already interested in the field. This month offers each of us an opportunity to invest in the future of our profession and to cultivate the next generation of educators who will help challenge and change the world of higher education. Please reach out to those students you believe would enjoy and thrive in the field of student affairs and invite them to participate in any of the following events. Please also make note of those events that provide you with opportunities to mentor our undergraduates.

Ask Me About My Job in Student Affairs
As Student Affairs Professionals walking about campus, many students wonder, “Who is that? What do they do here at BGSU?” This month-long program offers students the opportunity to “shadow” a professional in the Division of Student Affairs. The professionals who participate will be given Ask Me About My Job buttons.
Please encourage students to participate in these events -- and volunteer your time to be shadowed or to wear a button. If you would like to participate in this program, please contact Abby Priehs at 419-372-2138 or apriehs@bgsu.edu. Have a Happy National Careers in Student Affairs Month!
