Resident Life Highlights
This fall, Founders’ Resident Advisor Victoria Schroer was offered a 3-year position at Owens Corning in their finance and accounting leadership program and will begin her new position next summer. Schroer, 21, is a senior accounting and finance major from Brunswick, Ohio and completed a 3-month internship with the company this past summer. Working on the internal control team, she worked to ensure that the company was in compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Sarbanes-Oxley was enacted in 2004 and requires that companies have policies to ensure financial integrity. “I’m excited because it’s a fantastic opportunity and a great growth opportunity,” she said. Schroer is a third-year RA and is originally from the great state of Nebraska.
Offenhauer’s Graduate Hall Director, Jeremy Wright, was honored by the National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) with the September “Spotlight of the Month Award” for his work with Hall Council. Keep up the good work Jeremy!
In addition, Offenhauer residents are gearing up for a Roomlyweds Program in October. This is a program where residents will have an opportunity to display their knowledge of their new roommate. Encourage all Offenhauer residents to participate! It’s going to be interesting….
