Move-In and Opening Weekend 2010

Nearly 4,000 new first-year and transfer students participated in Move-in and Opening Weekend events this past weekend. The streets were filled with BGSU move-in volunteers, parents and new students! From the spirited University Welcome at Doyt Perry Stadium Friday through the picnic on University Hall lawn Sunday afternoon, new and returning students were warmly welcomed and well served by hundreds of faculty and staff.

Upper-class student leadership was critical to the success of the weekend.  Nearly 150 Resident Advisors, over 120 BGeXperience Peer Facilitators, mentors from a variety of Living-Learning Communities, and 15 Orientation Leaders successfully facilitated small and large group student discussions.  Faculty from all disciplines introduced students to topics and issues related to success in the classroom.  Throughout the weekend new students had many opportunities to meet one another and become a part of the BGSU community.

Thanks for your contribution to a great Opening Weekend!
