Division of Student Affairs

In order to complete a successful and organized 2009 University Opening Weekend, the Volunteer Move-in Committee is requesting the assistance of Student Affairs staff to assist with move-in on Saturday, August 22 and/or Sunday, August 23.

Volunteer Coordinator -- Role and Responsibilities         
Volunteer Coordinators will be responsible for the check-in and check-out of all student volunteers. In addition, the Volunteer Coordinators will assist parents and students with any questions.  The Volunteer Coordinator will be provided with detailed volunteer  information, including student names, contact information, shift information, and student organization. Lastly, the Volunteer Coordinator will be encouraged to attend a short (one-hour) orientation meeting during the week of August 17-August 21.
 
Time Commitment
Volunteer Coordinators will be needed for both Saturday, August 22 and Sunday, August 23. The time parameters are as follows:

• Morning shift: 7:30am-12:30pm
• Afternoon shift: 12-5pm. Please note, the overlap on the afternoon shift, is to help with the transition period from one Volunteer Coordinator to another.
