ODS ... Academic Bridge
The Office of Disability Services (ODS), located in South Hall, works with students who have self-identified with the office. Our newest staff member is Stacy Patnode. Stacy completes our small, yet mighty staff. Peggy Dennis is the Director, Lea Anne Kessler serves as Coordinator, Tammy Thurman is the Alternative Materials Specialist/ Typewell Captionist and Stacy is a second Coordinator. The ODS staff provide equal access to students, faculty and staff with disabilities in all aspects of the university experience.
ODS proctors exams and houses the national testing center that brings hundreds of prospective students to the main campus for the ACT, GRE, PRAXIS & LSAT tests.
Academic and housing accommodations are provided to students with a wide range of disabilities and chronic health conditions. Daily interface occurs with students and their families, faculty and staff. Disability Services acts as a bridge between student and academic affairs, working with every office on the university campus.
