Sharing Hong Kong Study Abroad Experiences

BGSU Business exchange students studying abroad in Hong Kong.

Nine Bowling Green State University business students are spending their spring semester studying at Hong Kong Baptist University and are sharing their life-changing experiences with other students through a newly-created blog. These students are getting the opportunity to travel as well as study, and they have visited unique and inspiring sites in and around Hong Kong. Go to the Business College Blog to read about the exciting adventures these business students are experiencing.

Within the last year, the College has signed study abroad agreements with Hong Kong Baptist University, the University de Macau, Lingnan University (both in China), and the University of Aberdeen (Scotland).  Plans for a unique, dual business degree program with the University of Strasbourg in France are being finalized this spring.

The Passport Program was created to encourage more students to take advantage of co-curricular and extracurricular activities which are necessary to expose students to “real-life” experiences and to make them more marketable upon graduation. Dr. Tim Chambers, director of Undergraduate Student Development, explains the new program. “The intention is to use the Passport to guide students to get the most of their educational experience here in the College of Business Administration.  As students attend career expos or participate in the study abroad program, the Passport will be stamped to record their participation.” A printed guide was developed within the college that discusses such activities as internships, student organizations, study abroad, community service, job expos, and lecture series.
