BGSU Cheerleading Ranked 5th in the Nation

The BGSU Cheerleaders recently received a bid to the 2010 College Cheerleading Nationals in Orlando, Florida. Entering the competition, the team was ranked 6th out of 18 Division I cheerleading teams through a video entry. The BGSU Cheerleaders competed in the semi-finals at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Disney World and placed in the top ten, which put them into the finals to compete against the top cheerleading programs in the nation. After a nearly flawless routine, the BGSU Cheerleaders placed 5th in the nation, surpassing teams who received full-paid bids to Orlando. Placing 5th in the nation is the highest ranking received by a MAC cheerleading program in history. The 2010 College Nationals competition will be aired on ESPN in February.
