BGSU Mock Trail Team Victorious Once Again
BGSU’s Mock Trial Team, advised by Distinguished Teaching Professor of Economics, Dr. M. Neil Browne, captured first place at the Vanderbilt Mock Trial Tournament, defeating 4 of the top 10 programs in the country. The Vanderbilt competition is by invitation only for the top teams in the country in preparation for regional tournaments. BGSU was one of 25 teams who competed.
According to Dr. Browne, “We are in the midst of an extraordinarily successful season, having already won the University of Washington tournament in December and placing 2nd at the Carnegie Mellon Tournament in October. We are especially proud of our achievement because the other teams with which we compete at this level have huge earmarked endowments and multiple paid coaches and consultants just for Mock Trial.”
