Cheer and Dance Team College Nationals

The BGSU cheer and dance teams received national bids to compete at the 2012 College Cheer & Dance Nationals. This is the third consecutive year both teams have received bids to compete against the top cheer and dance programs in the nation.

The BGSU Dance Team was nationally ranked as a Top 20 Division 1A dance program going into nationals, and for the third consecutive year, the BGSU dance team has placed within the top 20 Division 1A schools. BGSU's Dance Team members are true ambassadors of the BGSU spirit.  You will see them almost everywhere- performing at football and basketball games, getting the crowds excited at pep rallies and cheering on the University at alumni and charity events.  The Dance Team takes school spirit to a new level of excitement.

The BGSU Cheer Team was ranked 4th in the nation, which awarded the BGSU cheerleading team with a partial-paid bid to the 2012 College Cheer Nationals. The BGSU Cheer Team finished second in semi-finals and fifth in finals. The Cheer Team has placed within the top 5 in the nation for three consecutive years: 2010, 2011, & 2012. This is the highest ranking a MAC school has placed at the national level. Their ranking has awarded the BGSU cheer team with a partial-paid bid to the 2012 College Cheer Nationals. College Cheer and Dance Nationals are hosted at the ESPN World Wide of Sports in Orlando, Florida. College Cheer and Dance Team Nationals will air on ESPN2 in April.
