Marketing CO-OP

The Bowen-Thompson Student Union hires 2 CO-OP students part time every other semester in exchange for academic credit.  Marketing Interns are responsible for assisting the Marketing Coordinator and the full time staff with the marketing functions of the Bowen-Thompson Student Union.  Applicants must be very computer literate with extensive desktop publishing and graphic design experience. 

General responsiblitites include:

• Drafting Press Releases
• Graphic Design of Posters, Table Tents, Brochures, News Ads and other marketing materials
• Assists in creating and executing strategic marketing plans
• Assists in web development
• Assists in building Union photo/marketing database
• Provides assistance to Union Programs
• General office duties including word processing, typing, faxing, filing, copying, errands etc.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as needed
• Other duties as assigned

 

Basic Qualifications

• Strong oral and written commenication skills
• Profficient on Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Pagemaker, Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver and other popular computer software as needed
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
• Positive customer-oriented attitude and porfessional image
• Ability to work in a team enviroment
