Charles E. Shanklin & GSS Sponsored Awards

The Graduate Student Senate sponsors and administers several awards each spring to recognize the contributions of outstanding graduate students here at Bowling Green State University.

• The Charles E. Shanklin Award for Academic Excellence application is  in the process of being updated for the 2009-2010 academic year.  Please check back on November 16, 2009 when the updates will be complete. There will be some exciting changes to the event! In addition to the Shanklin Awards, GSS sponsors and administers several other awards recognizing the graduate students' contributions to the Bowling Green educational community, their demonstration of the university's core values, as well their exemplary academic achievements. These awards include:

• 2009-2010 Outstanding Graduate Student Awards

• 2009-2010 Outstanding International Student Awards

• 2009-2010 Administrative Assistant Awards/Research Assistant Awards

Through the GSS sponsored  OCGRE (Outstanding Contributor to Graduate Education) Award graduate students have the opportunity to recognize those faculty members whose expertise, vision, and encouragement have most benefited their professional and academic development. (to be updated for 2009-2010)
