Student Money Management provides the following free financial education services to BGSU undergraduate and graduate students.
- Individual financial education sessions with a Financial Services Educator (trained professional)
- Student Money Management Falconomics Group Seminars (group seminars in a variety of campus settings)
- BGSU Partner Offices (offices that impact on students' financial lives at the University)
- Website (a money management portal for BGSU undergraduate and graduate students with local, state, and national financial
education resources)
At Student Money Management Services, you can:
- Talk to trained professionals about your personal finances confidentially
- Create an individualized budget for your upcoming year at the University
- Learn how to identify and track expenses during and after college
- Plan for tuition and fee payments
- Graduate with a plan for repaying your debt
- Identify financial education opportunities on campus
- Become organized for key student money management decision points
- Locate external financial education resources
There are some services Student Money Management will not be able to provide:
- Investment advice
- Interacting with creditors
- Selecting a financial institution
- Choosing financial planning services
- Tax advice and preparation
- Referrals to public assistance programs
- Retirement planning

| What are Falconomics Seminars? |

SMMS provides free financial education seminars designed to meet your financial needs. Seminars are based on student input so
the topics and content are relevant to you. We offer seminars in locations and times convenient for both on-campus students
and commuters.
Seminars include:
Budgets: Making the Most of Your Money Do you know how much money you have to spend each month? Do you know where it all goes? If you answered “no” to either of
these questions, this seminar is for you. Learn how to budget and manage your money to stay debt, and stress, free.
Good Debt, Bad Debt: The Truth About Credit Cards Everything you need to know before you sign up for a credit card. Learn why it’s important to limit your number of credit
cards and how to use your card to get what you need without going into debt.
Banking and Your Life @ BGSU From checking accounts to car loans, learn about local Bowling Green banks and the services they offer to students
