TERMS OF THE SUMMER RESIDENTIAL ACCEPTANCE AGREEMENT For Residential Accommodations and Dining Services
Summer Session 2008

- In consideration of housing accommodations by Bowling Green State University, including meal plan service, the student hereby
agrees to accept the Room and Meal Plan assignment as provided by Bowling Green State University for the Summer Session. It is clearly understood that this agreement, once executed, cannot be cancelled during the summer term without full loss
of the room rent portion of the room and appropriate meal plan charges.
- It is understood, as part hereof, that the receipt of advance payment by the Office of the Bursar of the University for room
and meal plan accommodations shall constitute a binding agreement upon the University to provide such services for the student
during the period covered by this agreement.
- By submitting the housing email confirmation, along with payment to the Bursar’s Office you are agreeing to payment of $121
per week for a double room or $162 per week for a single room in Kohl Hall (a non air-conditioned hall) and the $59 Residential
Technology fee. Accommodations are available during the summer term, (May 19-August 8). Partial weeks will be charged as
one full week.
- It is further agreed that the regulations relating to the University on-campus housing and dining service as set forth in
the Bowling Green State University Undergraduate Catalog, the Student Handbook, and the Community Living Standards for the
summer term indicated shall be considered a part of this agreement. Furthermore, the University reserves the right to inspect,
repair, or otherwise maintain all student rooms at any time during the summer term indicated. In keeping with proper health,
safety, and maintenance standards, each student agrees to clean his or her room thoroughly at least once a week and again
upon withdrawal from the residence hall.
- Payment for room, meals, and Residential Technology fee must be received in the Office of the Bursar on or before April 24,
2008. A room assignment cannot be made until the housing email confirmation has been submitted along with appropriate payment
for accommodations have been received in the Office of the Bursar. This document, the Terms of the Summer Residential Acceptance Agreement, should be retained by the student for future reference.
DINING SERVICE PROGRAM
When completing the on-line summer housing application, students should indicate their summer session they are attending and
meal plan (optional). Summer students may purchase the Summer BG On-the-Go meal plan for $100.00 or opt out of summer meal
plan. Additional deposits to a dining meal plan (minimum of $50) can be made through the Office of the Bursar when the student
selects the meal plan or at any time during the Summer Session. This payment must also be returned along with a copy of the housing email confirmation to the Office of the Bursar.
Transference of points between student meal plan accounts is not permitted. Cards must be presented to cashiers for meal
purchases. Cards cannot be transferred between persons. If the Photo I.D. is lost or stolen, the student assumes full loss
until the lost or stolen ID is reported to the BG1 Card Services. During hours when BG1 Card Services is not open, reports
can be filed with the University Police Department.
PAYMENT AND CHARGES FOR ROOM AND MEAL PLAN
Charges for room accommodations and a meal plan are payable to the Office of the Bursar when copy of the housing email confirmation and appropriate payment are returned by April 24, 2008.
MEAL PLAN CANCELLATION POLICY
Students requesting a meal plan must follow the Room and Meal Plan Payment Schedule. Meal Plan cancellation will only be
granted prior to the first day of classes. At the end of the Summer Term any unexpended balance in the meal plan account
will be placed in a rollover account for use in Fall and Spring Terms. Actual usage plus a $15 administrative fee is charged
to the meal plan accounts for students who withdraw from Summer Term and request a refund of unused Summer Term meal plan
account.
