We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your son/daughter to Bowling Green State University. Over the course
of the year, we will be keeping you up-to-date on activities/events that are taking place on campus.
Although it is important for your son/daughter to make the college transition on their own, we want to encourage you to stay
involved in your child's life and informed about university procedures.

ROOM CHANGES
If your son/daughter is unsatisfied with his/her housing assignment, they can inquire about a room change after the two week
freeze period at the beginning of each semester.
-
- If your son/daughter would like to know the availability of rooms in his/her current residence hall, please advise them to
visit the front desk of that residence hall.
- If your son/daughter would like to know the availability of rooms in a residence hall other than the one he/she is currently
residing in, please advise your son/daughter to visit the Office of Residence Life, 440 Saddlemire Student Services Building.
DEALING WITH ROOMMATE CONFLICTS
At the beginning of each academic year, your son/daughter filled out a roommate agreement form stating an agreed upon set
of guidelines for their particular room. In this form, your son/daughter and their roommate established a plan of action
if a conflict would arise. Please advise your son/daughter to follow this plan of action. If problems continue, advise them
to contact their Resident Advisor or Hall Director.
ACADEMIC ASSISTANCE
Students always have access to academic assistance on campus. Depending on the academic area your son/daughter needs assistance,
