The Residential Acceptance Agreement establishes the terms and conditions of occupancy in the University residences between the room occupant and Bowling Green
State University. All residents are expected to review and understand the obligations outlined in this agreement.
Residency Requirement
Living on campus is part of the educational experience at Bowling Green State University. The University supports, as a condition
of enrollment, a two-year residency requirement for all first-year and sophomore level students unless they:
- are 23 years of age or older as of August 20, 2007
- have attained junior level status as of the first day of fall semester classes, August 20, 2007
- have completed four or more semesters of on-campus residency as of August 20, 2007 (at BGSU or a previous institution)
- will be commuting within a 50 mile radius of Bowling Green, from the permanent home of their parent(s), legal guardian(s)
or spouse for the 2007-08 academic year, or
- fulfilled one of the requirements to be considered an independent student (as determined by the Office of Student Financial
Aid) as of August 20, 2007
- have completed 30 months of consecutive military service as of August 20, 2007
Students are expected to abide by BGSU Community Living Standards in our Student Handbook. Some areas that are addressed:
- Quiet hours
- Damage to residence hall property
- Disciplinary and appeal procedures
