Spring Housing 2014
Spring housing sign-up begins October 28, 2013 for new incoming students only (begin living on campus in January 2014).
Congratulations on your admission to Bowling Green State University! Now you’re ready to take the next important step in becoming a BGSU student - signing up for your residence hall and meal plan. Our website has all the information you’ll need to make your choices.
The Office of Residence Life is committed to providing you with the space and resources you’ll need to succeed. As a residential student, you’ll be just steps away from a variety of programs and activities available in your hall and campus wide. You will have a campus live experience rich in opportunities to make new friends, explore new areas of interest, and learn new skills. Studies have shown that students who live on campus tend to have a higher GPA than students living off campus.
To check out your options for living on campus, visit the Housing Options page on our website. To sign up for housing and submit your preferences for the spring 2014 semester, follow these steps:
- Go to the Web portal http://my.bgsu.edu
- Enter your MyBGSU username and password
- Click on "My Room and Meals"
- Follow the onscreen steps to review the On-Campus Housing and Dining Agreement and complete the room, meal and roommate preference process
As a reminder, students are required to live on campus for 2 years, or until they have reached junior status (60 credit hours). Completing the online housing application confirms your intent to become part of the BGSU residential community for spring. You will be able to view your housing assignment after January 1, 2014 by logging into your MyBGSU account. Space availability at the time of your assignment determines where you will be assigned. It is important to remember single rooms are limited and in high demand.
Students who have completed the online application have until December 1, 2013 to cancel their housing application without penalty. After this date, students will forfeit $200 as per our forfeiture schedule. To view the forfeiture schedule, please visit the Residence Life website under the Forms and Resources section.
If you have questions about your housing, please contact the Office of Residence Life at email@example.com or 419-372-2011.
