Intramurals - Residence Hall Intramural Championships

New for  2011-12, the Residence Hall IM Championships bring about enhanced school spirit and a greater sense of community and engagement amongst residence hall members through fun, spirited competitive opportunities. Each Hall is permitted to enter one team in each of the Intramural Sports listed in the table below. There are spots for 10 teams: Centennial, Conklin, Falcon Heights, Founders, Harshman, Kohl, Kreischer, McDonald, Offenhauer East and Offenhauer West. Members of residence hall teams are permitted to play for teams in non-residence hall leagues provided it is falls within the participation rules noted in the eligibility section of the Intramural Handbook.

Residence Hall League Point System

The “Point System” encourages participation from students living in residence halls. Participants have the opportunity to represent their Hall in the sports of Flag Football, Team Handball, Whiffleball and 3 Player Basketball in the fall semester and Basketball, Wallyball and Volleyball in the spring semester. A point system tallies each Residential Halls’ points throughout the year with the Champion being awarded a “Traveling Trophy” and IM Champion T-Shirts for their effort. The table below provides a breakdown of how points can be earned or deleted from sport to sport throughout the course of the academic year.
