Training Philosophy: "There is no growth in the comfort zone and no comfort in the growth zone." I love to push others to discover their true potential. People are understandably afraid to try new things, but outside of our comfort zone is where true success resides. Therefore, I like to educate people about health and fitness to achieve this success. I believe there is so much happiness waiting for us once we commit to a healthy lifestyle!

Personal Interests: In my spare time I enjoy exercising, as well as spending time with family, friends, and my dogs. For my personal workouts my favorite type of exercise is weight lifting! I have a strong passion for introducing women to the weight room, as it is somewhere they usually stray away from. I also enjoy reading; whether it is a fitness magazine or fiction novel.

Eric Magrum
Major:
Exercise Science/ Kinesiology

Certifications: ACE Certified Personal Trainer, USAW Level 1 Sports Performance Coach, USTFCCCA Technical Certification

Training Philosophy: Fitness is all about the process. This process starts with a relentless pursuit of your goal and being strong in the face of adversity. It is our journey that makes us who we are, not our destination. If we make a commitment to come in everyday and give great effort, great things will happen.

Personal Interests: In my spare time I enjoy coaching athletes and helping them with the pursuit of their goals. I currently coach Track & Field and Strength & Conditioning at the high school level and have experience working with collegiate athletes in the weight room. I enjoy learning and I have a passion for athletic development and all of it's facets.

Minor:
General Business

Certifications: W.I.T.S Certified Personal Training, Group Exercise Certification, American Heart Association CPR/AED Certification

Training Philosophy: Starting an exercise program is not easy. It takes time and effort to reach goals that you may desire. With the right mindset you can achieve things that you may never believe and you might have set backs but we are all human and you just have to push through them. Getting on the right track to start a healthier life style and become in better shape takes time. You have one life to live why not try to make yourself the best you can be and the healthiest you can be.

Personal Interests: I love to play sports, being active, and I love going to new places. Snowboarding is also a huge passion of mine and I want to travel to different mountains to ride. I also love spending time with friends and family.

Major:
Masters of Mental Health Counseling

Certifications: ACE Certified Personal Trainer, TRX Certified Trainer, American Red Cross CPR/AED Health Care Provider

Training Philosophy: “To get something you’ve never had, you must do something you’ve never done.” Achieving your fitness goals takes serious time and effort, but the benefits of choosing a healthy lifestyle are limitless. You are in control of creating the best life possible for yourself, and I am here to help!

Personal Interests: My specific interests, in regards to exercise, include running, strength training, and TRX. Because of my background in mental health, I am very interested in the psychological aspects and changes that result from exercise. I enjoy spending my spare time with friends and family, and always love staying active!

Matt Stith
Major:
Exercise Science

Certifications: NFPT certified personal trainer, Red Cross CPR/AED certified

Training Philosophy: "It's not the will to win that matters-everyone has that. It's the will to prepare to win that matters."
-Paul "Bear" Bryant.

This philosophy is superb with getting in shape and being healthy as well. Everyone wants to look great and be healthy, but in order to do that, you need to have the right mindset. The preparation of eating healthy, getting enough sleep, and going to the weight room with a game plan will make everyone a winner.

Personal Interests: Sports, working out, and enjoying time with my friends and family. While at home I enjoy spending time at the airport working on airplanes and flying with my grandfather. I also enjoy playing golf with my dad and friends when the weather is nice.

Certifications: certified personal trainer, CPR/AED and First Aid

Training Type: I specialize in resistance training and I love a good challenge.

Personal Interests: I have been training for a little over a year now. I was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. Growing up I participated in football and baseball, and that is the main reason I started weight training at the age of 13.

Certifications: AFAA personal training certification, CPR/AED certification

Training Philosophy: "The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will.” –Vince Lombardi.

That just says it all at the end of the day, a week, or even a year. It comes down to your will to succeed, nothing else.

Personal Interests: I love training myself and learning new things. I enjoy sports and friends. I have recently got into reading for pleasure. I love meeting new people and learning about them and ways that they want to improve because I believe nobody is perfect and life is only a practice of trying to be perfect.
