Fitness

The BGSU Fitness program offers services that guide participants into a healthy lifestyle by providing fitness testing, fitness programming, and certified personal training. 

Personal Training

The Personal Training program focuses on one-on-one training utilizing resistance and cardiovascular components.  The client goals and physical fitness level help trainers establish a sound exercise program. Click HERE for details. 

Group Exercise

Make the commitment now to stay fit while attending college by getting involved in group exercise classes! There are a variety of classes including, but not limited to, Zumba, Yoga, Spinning, Sculpting, Kickboxing. Passes are available for purchase at the Student Recreation Center Front Desk and include access to ALL classes throughout the semester. Refunds are not issued for Group Exercise passes except for a medical reason, in which case a physician statement may be required. Click HERE for the complete schedule and class descriptions.

2011-2012 Group Exercise Fees

  • BGSU Students/SRC Members - $42 per semester; $80 per academic year
  • BGSU Employees - $47 per semester; $90 per academic year (SRC membership not required)
  • General Public - $67 per semester; $130 per academic year (SRC membership not required)

New TRX® Workshops

TRX Workshop ImageAn innovative exercise tool that helps you build lean muscle, boost your metabolism, tighten your core and increase endurance. This is a body weight workout that encourages “All Core All the Time!” Classes and demonstrations held in the SRC Dance Room. 
FREE Demos: 1/9, 1/11, 1/18, 1/23, 1/25 at 5:30 PM and 1/10, 1/12, 1/17, 1/19, 1/24, 1/26 at 9:30 AM

Five-week workshops, only $20; pre-registration is required, limit 6 participants per class:

Monday/Wednesday Evening Workshops (5:30 PM - 6:15 PM):

  • Session I, January 30 - February 29, 2012
  • Session II, March 19 - April 18, 2012

Tuesday/Thursday Morning Workshops (9:30 AM - 10:15 AM)

  • Session I, January 30 - March 1, 2012
  • Session II, March 20 - April 19, 2012

Spring 2012 Free Body Fat Testing: Tuesday/Wednesday 7 - 9 PM

Free body fat testing is offered at the Student Recreation Center. Testing is administered by certified personal trainers and is available to students, faculty and staff and community members.
