Rentable Areas

The Lounge. Main Ice, Studio Ice, and Curling Ice may be rented for activities including church outings, school-field trips, scout socials, or private functions such as wedding receptions, showers, meetings and even birthday parties.

The descriptions below detail the available accommodations and costs associated with the various facilities in the Ice Arena.

Rentals are open to all including BGSU students, faculty, staff, and the general public.

Main Ice

Rental Fees
BGSU Affiliate:   $150.00/hr
General Public:   $210.00/hr

The Main Ice at the BGSU Ice Arena can be rented for a wide range of events and functions involving hockey, figure skating, or general recreational skating.

Skate rental fees of $2.00 per person apply to all rentals.

Studio Ice
40' x 80'

Open Studio:        $8.00/hr per person

Open Studio may reserve up to one calendar week in advance. Payment required when booking.

The Studio Ice is an ideal venue for private skating outings for small groups and accommodates up to 25 skaters. Birthday parties, scout group outings, and pre-school field trips are among the most popular events hosted by the Ice Arena in this space.

Skate rental fees of $2.00 per person apply to all rentals.

The Lounge

The Ice Arena Lounge is large enough to comfortably accommodate up to 125 people, yet can maintain a "living room" atmosphere for smaller functions.

It is an excellent venue for wedding receptions, retirement parties, academic seminars, business meetings, and a variety of social events. Customers are allowed great flexibility with regard to set up and catering.

Kitchen facilities including food warmers, a commercial sized refrigerator, freezer, sink, and microwave are available. Candles are not permitted.

Alcoholic beverages are permitted with a $200.00 cash deposit. Possession and consumption is restricted to the Lounge.

Curling Ice

Open Curling:      $10.00/hr per person
Instruction with rental: Fee arranged with BG Curling Club (must be contracted in advance)

Curling is a unique activity that can be enjoyed by individuals of all ages. Corporate events in conjunction with Lounge rentals are very popular on the Curling Ice as well as family and organizational parties and outings.
