Below are a variety of programs offered by the Bowling Green State University Aquatics Program for swimming activities that fit specific needs.

BGSU Courses

Not a great swimmer? No worries. BGSU Aquatic Program offers a variety of courses to help enhance your swimming abilities. Already know how to swim: Why not take a semester and receive a lifeguard certification? Or, sweat-it-out in the water with an aerobics class.

American Red Cross Lifeguard Course

PEG 2780 is a course to certify students as American Red Cross lifeguards. The class meets twice per week for 50 minutes. Included in this class are Lifeguard, First-Aid, CPR, and AED certifications.

Water Aerobics

PEG 2580 is a water aerobics class for individuals looking for exercise in the water with a social aspect.

Swimming

PEG 2800-2820 is a swimming instruction course for all levels of skill.

Swimming Clubs and Teams

WET (Water Exercise Training)

WET, also known as Senior Swim, is a therapeutic aquatics program designed for seniors. WET has a positive effect on cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, muscular endurance, and joint flexibility, and is set in a social atmosphere.

Schedule

Dr. Meek leads Senior Swim from 8:00AM-9:00AM, Monday through Thursday.
