Learn to Swim Expectations
The teacher expects students:
- To be on time.
- To have my hair tied back (if necessary).
- To remove all objects from my mouth (gum, paper, candy, rubber bands, hands, etc.).
- To have a positive attitude.

Students can expect from their teacher to:
- Explain and demonstrate each skill.
- Give everyone an opportunity for practice.
- Give positive reinforcement and corrective feedback.
- Use games whenever possible to facilitate learning.
- Start and end class on time.
The teacher expects parents:
- To observe the class from the balcony.
- To observe without correction or negative comments.
- To deliver my child on time.
- To pick-up my child on time.
- To be enthusiastic about all progress (however small).
The parents expects the teacher to:
- Be fully certified and authorized American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor.
- Be on time and teach for the full class period.
- Keep the FUN in fundamentals and give each child an opportunity to learn.
- Give reports and answer any questions about student's progress at the appropriate time.
- Have safety of all students as the first priority.
