The university will provide $4 million for infrastructure improvements, funded through BGSU's capital facilities debt pool.
A private fundraising campaign will also be conducted for the second phase of improvements, which will be focused on hockey
and fan amenities.
Work has already been started on the project. Programming is being confirmed internally and the university will select an
architect. Given the timing for A&E work, plus the fact that summer is the only down time for the ice arena, it's realistic
that improvements for the Ice Arena will begin in the summer of 2009.
