GROUP SKATING LESSONS FAMILY FOCUS
THE BARMAN FAMILY
The Barman family has been involved in the BGSU Ice Arena Group Skating Lesson program for seven years. Chances are, if you
frequent our Public Skating or Freestyle sessions, you'll see Troy, Sarah, Larsissa and Melinda, skating their hearts out
or volunteering and helping others at the Ice Arena.
Larissa has literally grown up with Group Lessons. She started skating at the age of 2 and has completed every badge from
Snow-Plow-Sam 1 through Freestyle 4. Melinda, who also started at age two, is currently in our Intermediate class.
When asked what she has learned from skating, Larissa has the following to say:
"I learned that you should always trust in yourself and that you shouldn't give up when something is really hard, if somebody
else can do it, then you can too"
