SAFETY TIPS

  • Stay clear of other lifters and spotters
  • Move carefully and slowly in the weight room
  • Do not attempt to use broken equipment.  Let a floor supervisor know immediately of any broken equipment.
  • Make sure you are in a stable position before lifting
  • Do not hold your breath or strain to lift a weight
  • Warm-up and stretch before and after working out
  • Lift within your ability
  • Do not fool around in weight room
  • Adjust each machine to put you in the correct position before starting a set
  • Always control the speed and direction of the lift
  • Always be polite, courteous, and helpful in the weight room
