ENHANCE YOUR HEALTH

Obtaining and maintaining a healthy body can be difficult. BGSU's Fitwell Lifestyle Center provides a variety of services to guide participants into a healthy lifestyle. Access to all the Fitwell Lifestyle's Center programs and services is included in a Recreational Sports Membership! Highlighted below are just a few of BGSU's programs to help enhance your health!

PERSONAL TRAINING

The Personal Training Program focuses on one-on-one personal training utilizing resistance and cardiovascular training. Individual goals and Fitwell Lifestyle Center results will provide key physical fitness indicators and help the trainer establish a sound exercise program. Personal Trainers can help participants with strength training, equipment training, and gain competence with the various free weights located in the BGSU Student Recreation Center. The trainers are all certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE).

EQUIPMENT ORIENTATION

New to the BGSU Student Recreation Center? Don't worry, free to any member is the equipment orientation offered through the Fitwell Lifestyle Center. Through this program, patrons are able to learn how to properly use exercise equipment for a safer and more effective workout.

HEALTH ASSESSMENTS

All health assessments are administered by trained Fitwell Lifestyle Center staff including practicums and the graduate students of Fitness.  These assessments are available for patrons of the BGSU Student Recreation Center free of charge and are located in the Fitwell Lifestyle Center Office.  The health assessments including body fat composition, blood pressure screening, and the Health Risk Appraisals are effective tools for finding an estimated range of health.  All assessments can be repeated as often as preferred with a recommendation of at least once a month. 

GROUP EXERCISE PROGRAMS

Need some extra motivation for an effective workout? Attend one of BGSU Recreational Sport's Group-X Classes!  Many of these classes are free to any member of the BGSU Student Recreation Center. Starting in the early morning and going through the twilight hours, this mix of cardiovascular, strength, and flexibility training will fit any Falcon's schedule.
