EXPLORE THE OUTDOORS

BGSU Recreational Sports contains a number of Outdoor Recreational Spaces to help move your activities outside. These areas are all able to be reserved for group functions; however, reservations are not necessary for patrons of BGSU Recreational Sports.

If you are looking to extend your stay outdoors, let BGSU Outdoor Program's Equipment Rental help you prepare. The Outdoor Program rents the following camping and backpacking equipment: tents, sleeping bags, backpacks, sleeping pages, stoves, and cooking pots. Reservations are welcome and encouraged for up to two weeks in advance.

Feeling more adventurous or need the guidance of a trained professional on your next outdoor experience? Attend one of the Outdoor Program's amazing preplanned Trips. The purpose of these trips is to get outside, enjoy nature, expand outdoor skills, and learn how to respect the environment. Adventure trips include hiking, backpacking, winter camping, snowshoeing, mountain biking, white water rafting, canoeing, skiing, snow-boarding, and horseback riding. Generally, these awesome adventures take place in a wide variety of wilderness settings around the Eastern and Central United States.

The BGSU Adrenaline Youth Climbing Club can help prepare youths ages 8 and up for a lifetime of outdoor adventures. This program is specially designed to help climbers to develop strength and balance, learn proper lower and upper body climbing techniques, and create a friendly, fun social environment for everyone.
