The Recreational Sports program supports the missions of Bowling Green State University and the Division of Student Affairs.
Specifically, the emphasis is to enrich the holistic development of individual student and community members by incorporating
challenging recreational activities into individual lifestyle practices and the learning experiences. In undertaking this
mission, the Recreational Sports program seeks to create an environment that motivates and promotes healthy lifestyles that
enhance the quality of student life for both the present and the future.

At any age, there are many reasons to Learn to Climb including: -- New fitness options -- Learning a new skill -- Leadership and team development -- Having fun and socializing with people who enjoy climbing Rock climbing can lead to muscle conditioning, increased flexibility, better balance and mental concentration. Bowling Green State University offers swim lessons for all people age six months to adult at all skill levels, from beginning
to advanced. All participants are taught by fully certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors. Class are taught

Considered one of the best manicured, semi-private courses in Northwest Ohio, BGSU's Forrest Creason Golf Course has a complete
irrigation system, water hazards and white silica sand traps. In addition to the 18-hole course, practice new golf skills
in one of three greens appropriate for approach shots, the putting range, or in the driving range. To learn more about rules,

The BGSU Ice Arena Management and coaching staff, in conjunction with US Figure Skating, strive to provide high quality, progressive instruction in basic ice skating skills that will give participants a solid
foundation upon which they can continue into the various branches of ice sports. Lessons are offered to skaters age 2 through
adult, so it's never too late to learn! Plus, the BGSU Ice Arena Group Lesson Program has been one of the top 15 USFSA Skate

Do you know what to do in the case of a medical emergency? The skills learned through CPR, AED, and First Aid training can
help keep an emergency from becoming a tragedy. Through the Aquatics program, Health and Safety classes are offered annually.
