ANDREWS POOL RULES
Andrew Pool Rules are enforced by the Student Recreation Center (SRC) Staff. Any questions may be directed to a lifeguard or staff member
on duty.
General Rules

|
- SRC personnel in charge at all times.
- Shower prior to swimming, especially after exercise.
- Band-Aids, adhesive tape, and any type of bandage must be removed prior to entering the pool.
- Swim only when Lifeguard is on duty.
- Proper swimming attire is required at all times. Street clothes and gymnasium clothes (cut-off, cotton shorts, etc.) are not
to be permitted in the pools or spa.
- Diving permitted in deep water only.
- Food, gum, and beverages prohibited.
- Glass containers prohibited on deck.
- Street clothes should be placed in a locker, not on deck, before swimming.
- No running or disruptive play.
- Pfd's, "water wings," and other flotation devices are allowed in Andrews Pool only as long as there is direct adult supervision
(adult must be in water with child at ALL times).
- Regular diapers are NOT allowed in either Andrews or Cooper Pool. All infant children must wear a diaper designed for swimming.
- Persons with skin diseases, infections or open sores are prohibited from using the pool(s).
- Do not allow patrons to swim over or hang on lane markers or deep water lines.
- Indoor pool furniture is not permitted outside.
- Smoking is not permitted in either pool area or on the sundeck/patio area.
- Persons appearing to be intoxicated will be asked to leave the facility. Alcohol is not permitted anywhere in or around the
facility.
- Please direct all questions to the Crew Chief on duty
Andrews Pool – Spa Rules
- Pregnant women, elderly persons, and persons suffering from heart disease, diabetes or high or low blood pressure should not
enter the spa/hot tub without prior medical consultation and permission from their doctor.
- Do not use the spa/hot tub while under the influence of alcohol, tranquilizers or other drugs that cause drowsiness or that
raise or lower blood pressure.
- You must shower prior to using the spa/hot tub after exercising.
- Do not use at temperatures greater than 104 degrees F.
- Children 12 years of age and under may not use the Spa.
- Observe reasonable time limits (10-15 minutes), then leave the water and cool down before returning for another brief stay.
Long exposure may result in nausea, dizziness or fainting.
- Use spa/hot tub only when Lifeguard is on duty.
- Spa/hot tub use limited to 12 persons.
- Operation by Aquatic Staff only.
