What is your plan? Where are you going with your learning and your career? How do you define yourself?
The 2009 Graduate Professional Development Day is a chance to begin answering those questions and preparing for the challenges
that lie ahead. Whether you are just beginning your time as a graduate student or are preparing to graduate and enter the
workforce, this event has something to offer. There will be twelve diverse sessions presented by experienced faculty and staff.
Topics include (but not limited to):
- Making your assistantship work for you
- Presenting and publishing as a graduate student
- Defining your research and professional goals
- Job searching, interviewing, and professional associations
- Using technology for teaching and learning
This year's conference will take place February 7, 2009 from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. The event is free and lunch will be provided.
The sessions are divided into three tracks, based on where you are in your graduate career. Track A is focused on brand new
graduate students, Track B is focused in mid-career graduate students, and Track C is focused on graduate students finishing
