NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION
PREPARE FOR ORIENTATION
STEP 1: Create Your MyBGSU Account:
When admitted, you should have received a Certificate of Admission from the Office of Admissions with information about establishing your BGSU account, including your BGSU ID Number. If you have not already done so, you must set up and activate your BGSU account before conducting any other business related to your enrollment at BGSU
Log on to the Internet using a web browser and go to http://www.bgsu.edu/newaccount and follow the prompts.
STEP 2: Reserve Your New Student Orientation Date

Log on to MyBGSU, Click on the “My Orientation Reservation” link located in the “Student Services” box under “Academics”. Follow the prompts related to Student and Guest reservations, make necessary payment. Payment is required to confirm your Reservation.
STEP 3: Complete Placement Tests
Complete any necessary Placement Tests online prior to attending New Student Orientation.

STEP 4: Visit the Orientation Station
Prior to your on-campus visit for New Student Orientation, be best prepared by visiting our online resource center, the Orientation Station. The site includes important information and a checklist of things to do and read about before and after coming to New Student Orientation.
STEP 5: Plan Your Visit!
You can find a a schedule of the day’s events, arrival times, a list of local overnight accommodations, and directions to campus that will help to make your trip more enjoyable.
