ORIENTATION LEADERS |

Orientation Leaders will provide incoming students and their family members with a personal introduction to Bowling Green
State University. With enthusiasm and pride in the BGSU campus community, they will highlight BGSU's spirit and tradition,
academic expectations, campus life, and promote resources available for student success. Orientation Leaders encourage new
students and their families to ask questions, participate in discussion, and engage in building relationships with other students,
faculty, and staff. As an Orientation Leader, you represent the best of BGSU and have the opportunity to demonstrate what
being a member of the BGSU learning community is all about.

General Responsibilities
- Orientation Leaders are expected to possess and demonstrate enthusiasm, energy, reliability, honesty, teamwork, and punctuality.
- Orientation Leaders are responsible for welcoming new students and their families into the community and assisting them throughout
their complete Orientation & Registration experience.
- Orientation Leaders will facilitate small groups throughout the program consisting of students or their guests to address
academic and community expectations, student life issues, and answer participant questions.
- Orientation Leaders will assist with program components including check-in, campus tours, facilitating student activities,
campus life presentations, and evening activities.
- Orientation Leaders will continue to serve as a welcoming face and resource for students during welcome activities and throughout
the fall 2008 semester.
- Orientation Leaders will also be asked to assist with other duties as needed.

General Responsibilities
The reservation staff work on the "front line" to answer email, and phone questions to make sure students and their families
receive the information they need to attend Orientation & Registration. They will assist program participants in working through
the online reservation system, handle mailings, and other administrative components of the Orientation & Registration program.
Basic qualifications include: strong communication skills, an understanding of MAC computer software, general knowledge of
the University and services offered, general office skills, good trouble shooting skills, and a positive customer service
attitude.
