Steps for activating your BGSU email and MyBGSU Web portal account: 

When admitted, you should have received a letter from the Office of Admissions with information about your BGSU email account and your MyBGSU Web portal account, and a temporary BGSU identification card, including your BGSU ID number.  If you have not already done so, you must set up and activate your accounts in order to prepare for and attend Orientation & Registration.  An active MyBGSU account is necessary to register for an Orientation & Registration or Transfer Registration date, take online placement tests, view housing accommodations if you are living on campus, request or view financial aid information, and register for your class schedule during Orientation & Registration.

Log on to the Internet using a web browser and go to http://www.bgsu.edu/newaccount and follow the prompts.
