Annie Russell

Graduate Assistant for
LGBT Programs and Services

Annie Russell is the Graduate Assistant and coordinator for the LGBT Resource Center. Annie is a Ph.D. student in Higher Education Administration. She has a B.A. from Adrian College in Communication and a M.Ed. from Ohio University in College Student Personnel. Annie’s passions include social justice work and advocacy. She hopes to create a more safe and inclusive BGSU campus community for all students, faculty, and staff.

Joy Hartwell-Lein

 

Joy Hartwell-Lein supervises Annie in her role with the LGBT Resource Center. Joy is the Financial Aid Specialist and Freshman Development Program Advisor. She provides assistance for students with the scholarship search or with financial aid issues.  In addition, she provides presentations for student organization about financial aid or credit cards and debt. Joy is proud to be a BGSU alum!  She has a B.S. in Gerontology (1993) and a M.A. in College Student Personnel (2002) from BGSU.

Austin Williams

Special Interest Intern

Austin is a junior in the psychology program. He enjoys long walks on the beach and strawberries. He reads a lot and loves all kinds of information. His goals are to become a psychologist specializing in the cross-reference of people of color and sexual behavior as it relates to lifestyle choices and social interactions. He is always looking for new ways to identify and improve LGBT relations on campus.
