Frequently Asked Questions for Students Who will be at the Housing Fair? I already know where I am living, why should I come? I am not moving off-campus for another year, why should I come? | |
What is the Housing Fair? The Housing Fair is an annual event in which anyone searching for on or off-campus housing is invited. It is a display-style event, with rental companies, city departments, and university departments filling-up close to 40 tables. Each table will have valuable information in your search or decision-making process. Free food and other door prizes will be available. Who will be at the Housing Fair? While this list may change, you can see a list of possible rental agencies here. An accurate and updated list will be available closer to November. Do I have to pay to attend? No! It is absolutely free for students and other guests searching for information. I already know where I am living, why should I come? Even if you’ve decided where you’re going to live next year, or even if you’ve already signed your lease or contract, the Housing Fair is a great place to learn more about being prepared for the transition off-campus, to learn more about University and City resources, and to win great prizes! I am not moving off-campus for another year, why should I come? There are many reasons to still attend, but there are two primary reasons. The Office of Residence Life will be at the Housing Fair to showcase leadership opportunities for on-campus students as well as upper-class living options. Also, most students at BGSU eventually move off-campus, and it is never too early to start thinking and searching for a living arrangement that best suits your needs and priorities.
