BGSU students living in a house or apartment off-campus live and learn in the City of Bowling Green, both on- and off-campus.
Many of these students may not be new to the City or University, but they may be new to some of the freedoms and responsibilities
of living in a house or apartment. Initiating positive relationships among students and neighboring residents is important
in establishing a foundation for a safe and successful academic year.
The “Welcome BG” initiative takes place in the first few weeks of the fall semester, and involves individuals and groups both
on and off-campus of BGSU. Approximately 4,500 bags filled with coupons and information about university departments, city
businesses and services, and other area businesses will be hand-delivered to students living in the areas immediately adjacent
to campus.
