Sexual Assault Prevention Peer Educators
Sexual Assault Information Network (SAIN)
SAIN peer educators are both undergraduate and graduate students who have been recruited and trained to present a women-only
educational program about sexual assault. This program focuses on general sexual assault awareness information, how to support
a friend, and response suggestions for victims/survivors. The peer educators meet with many groups on campus, including residence
halls, sororities and student organizations and clubs.
Men Educating Men on the Prevention of Sexual Assault (MEMPSA)
MEMPSA peer educators are both undergraduate and graduate students who have been recruited and trained to present a men-only
educational program about sexual assault. The peer educators focus on encouraging men to challenge their own beliefs and
values concerning sexual behaviors. MEMPSA meets with many groups on campus including residence halls, fraternities, and
student organizations and clubs.
SAIN and MEMPSA work closely to help stop sexual assault on BGSU's campus. Together they also present workshops and programs
for a mixed audience. These can be tailored to your group, class, residence hall or work area.
