 Faith Yingling, Ph.D. CHES Director Dr. Faith Yingling is the Director of the Wellness Connection. She received her BS in Environmental Health from Purdue University,
her MS Ed. in Public Health from the University of Toledo and her Ph.D. in Health Education (with a minor in Occupational
Health) also from the University of Toledo. Dr. Yingling has been a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) since 2002.
Her major area of interest and expertise is unintentional injury. Dr. Yingling’s work has been published in peer-reviewed
journals, such as the Journal of School Health, Psychological Reports, the Journal of Public Health Management and Practice, and Health Education and Behavior.
 Zabrina Andres Graduate Assistant Zabrina graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, in May 2005 with a degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice.
She is currently pursuing a master's degree in College Student Personnel here at BGSU. Zabrina is the Graduate Advisor for
the SAIN and MEMPSA programs, so feel free to contact her if you want more information about these groups.
Daria Blachowski-Dryer, RD Registered Dietitian General Manager of Founders Dining Center Daria graduated from BGSU with a BG in Dietetics in 1999. She completed her dietetic internship at the University of Michigan
Hospital in June of 2000 and passed her RD exam shortly after. In 2001, she became a Food Management Professional (FMP) by the National Restaurant Association. She is currently the General Manager
of Founders Dining Center and provides nutrition counseling through the Student Health Service.
 Jane Crandall, RD, LD Nutrition Counselor Jane works as a nutrition counselor by providing one-on-one nutrition counseling to BGSU students. She began working with
the Wellness Connection in 2006.
 Carrie Dowling, LCDC III, OCPS II Counselor Carrie Dowling is the counselor at the Wellness connection. She focuses primarily on issues related to alcohol and other drug
use. She is a certified chemical dependency counselor and a certified prevention specialist. She enjoys presenting to groups
as well as counseling students individually on various topics concerning alcohol/drug use and abuse.
 Julia Metcalf Interim Health Educator Julia received her Master’s Degree in College Student Personnel at BGSU in May of 2007. She also earned a Bachelors of Science
degree in Russian Education with a minor in Art History from BGSU in 2004. Before serving as the Interim Health Educator,
Julia served as a graduate assistant in the Wellness Connection for two years. Julia currently advises the HYPE peer educators
and co-advises Bacchus Gamma.
 Amy Sheldrick Administrative Secretary Amy has been at BGSU since 1988 and has worked in the Wellness Connection since 1995. Amy graduated from BGSU in 2006 with
a BS in Health Promotion. She loves working in the Wellness field and working with students.
