The Student Health Service Pharmacy is able to accept many third party prescription cards at our pharmacy.
The Student Health Service may not be able to fill ALL third party prescriptions.
It is always best to contact your benefits manager prior to coming to BGSU to verify coverage at our pharmacy.
Many times students will confuse their prescription Drug Card with their Health Care Insurance Card. Before coming to school,
please check with your benefits administrator to see if you have drug coverage and provide the pharmacy staff with this card
when filling prescriptions.
You should always bring your prescription drug card with you when you come to the Health Service.
If you do not have your prescription drug card with you at the time you are requesting a prescription, you will be responsible
for saving your receipts and sending the prescriptions into your insurance company for reimbursement.
You can also fax us a copy of both sides of your prescription card within one week of the original transaction at 419-372-7999
or provide us with the following information:
Prescription insurance company
ID number (this is usually the social security number of the card holder)
Prescription group number
Prescription Bin Number
Many insurance companies will require that students provide proof that they are currently registered as a student.
If your insurance company requests a copy of your grades, please do not ignore this request as this can lead to an interruption
of coverage.
