Fees

Like most health care providers, the SHS charges for office visits and for the other medical services we provide (see complete list below).

We accept all health insurance plans and will bill your health insurance company directly for all of the services that your health insurance plan covers. Any co-pay, co-insurance or deductible amount will be applied to your student account only after the SHS has received claim confirmation from your insurance company. 

The SHS charges for the following services: Office Visits Laboratory Electrocardiograms Minor Surgical Procedures Nutrition Counseling Injections/Immunizations Dressings Medications (prescription and over-the-counter) Sports and Employment Physicals Summaries of Records

Students have the following options to pay the charges for any medical services that are not covered by their health insurance plans.

• Check
• Debit Card
• Visa, Master Card or Discover
• BG1 Card

The SHS provides services to all BGSU student regardless of their health insurance status or ability to pay. If you do not have health insurance and are unable to pay for services at the SHS, please call 419-372-2271. Never let the lack of health insurance or an inability to pay for services prevent you from getting needed health care at the SHS. Contact the SHS with questions.
