Allergy Injections
The Student Health Service (SHS) now offers allergy injections to faculty and staff. Charges for allergy injections are not
covered by the University health insurance plan (MMOH), but may still be covered by other health insurance plans; if your
health insurance plan covers allergy injections, the SHS will bill your health insurance directly for the charges. Call 419-372-2271
and choose #2 for nurses station for more information.
Travel Health
Immunizations and individual counseling are available for those faculty, staff, and general public traveling abroad.
Wellness Connection
The Wellness Connection offers faculty/staff assistance dealing with a nutrition or alcohol/drug concern of a student.

Flu shots
Each fall, faculty and staff can get their influenza vaccination (flu shot) at the Student Health Service. Dates, hours, and costs are posted. Payment can be made by cash, check, charge card, or Bursar (if your health insurance plan covers flu shots, the
SHS can bill the health insurance company directly for the charges).
Note: The Pneumovax vaccine is also available.

Prescriptions
Employees, their spouses and dependents may purchase new or transferred prescriptions through our convenient on-campus pharmacy.
This includes new or transferred contraceptive prescriptions at a discounted price. For the most current prices, call the
Pharmacy at 419-372-7408. Prices are very competitive and the BGSU Pharmacy offers low cost delivery. They honor most third
party insurance carriers including the BGSU faculty/staff insurance plan and the BGSU-offered student insurance plan.
If you would like to utilize this benefit you can complete the Patient Demographic Information Form , print it and fax it to the BGSU Pharmacy at 419-372-7999.
The On-line prescription refill system (Readyfill system) can be used by anyone who has had a prescription filled at the BGSU

Hepatitis B
