As a tangible symbol of our commitment to academic achievement, the BGSU Greek Community hosts three Honor Societies to reward fraternity and sorority members for achieving excellence: Gamma Sigma Alpha, Order of Omega and Rho Lambda.

Gamma Sigma Alpha

Founded in 1989 at the University of Southern California, it has grown to over 150 chapters nationwide. The Delta Xi chapter at BGSU was founded in 1997.

Members are selected each semester based on the following:

  • Junior or Senior Status
  • Achieving a 3.50 cumulative GPA or achieving a 3.50 GPA anytime during the junior or senior year

The one-time membership fee is $50. Many chapters cover this fee for their members as a part of their academic incentives package for members who perform well academically.

The maximum amount of Greeks elected to receive this honor is only 3% of the total membership.

Inducted members will receive a pin and certificate at a induction ceremony. The induction ceremony will welcome you as a new member of this prestigious organization, as well as introduce you to current members.
