Standards of Evidence
The following criteria should be considered as you work to develop evidence of learning in each of the competency domains:
-
The evidence should generate a reasonable workload for the student as well as the Certification Committee.
-
The evidence should be understandable by someone who was not present when the learning took place and is not familiar with
the context of the learning.
-
A blend of written and oral evidence is preferred.
-
Whenever possible, evidence for an individual competency should demonstrate the integration of theory and practice.
-
Each of the nine competencies must be demonstrated with separate pieces of evidence. For example, one activity might provide
learning across several competencies but the evidence documenting this learning must be submitted separately, competency by
competency.
-
The evidence must clearly address each of the certification requirements.
